The first Kentucky Commercial Real Estate and Land Use Conference is scheduled Oct. 6 and 7 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.
The event is sponsored by the Kentucky Chapter of Certified Commercial Investment Members, the Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Chapter of the American Planners Association.
The education and networking event is expected to draw nearly 200 commercial real estate professionals from across Kentucky, including attorneys, planners, engineers, architects, developers and brokers, according to a news release.
The theme of the event is Evolve, and it will focus on examples of success in Kentucky’s changing real estate landscape and business environment.
Event highlights include:
An Oct. 7 morning keynote address from Jim Host , chairman of the Louisville Arena Authority Inc., which will focus on the recently announced Bluegrass Economic Advancement Movement.
An Oct. 7 panel discussion where Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer , Lexington Mayor Jim Gray and Boone County Judge Executive Gary Moore will discuss economic development and job-creation initiatives. Business First publisher Tom Monahan will be the moderator.
The inaugural Spire Award, which recognizes excellence in commercial real estate, will be presented at the conference’s Oct. 6 opening ceremony.
More than 15 educational sessions will focus on a variety of commercial real estate topics, including leasing, land use and zoning, the environment and historic preservation.
